Celebrating. Healing. Futuring. in Seattle, WA!
Earlier this month we held our annual conference, Roots & Remedies, where we gathered with our national network of basebuilding grassroots organizers & advocates whose work is centered around health justice & racial equity. Together we learned about each other's work, skills, & vision to engage everyone in their powerful celebrating, healing, & futuring experience for their communities. We are grateful to be able to hold space for amazing leaders from across the country. Join our mission to learn more how you can be part of next year's Roots and Remedies and our growing network.

Take Action: Submit your public comment against the proposal to roll back regulatory civil rights protections in the Affordable Care Act. Deadline – Tuesday August 13th at 11:59 PM.
Background from APIAHF and NWLC: The Trump-Pence administration released a notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM) that would roll back the Health Care Rights Law (also known as section 1557 of the ACA). The Health Care Rights Law protects patients from discrimination in health care and is the first broad prohibition of sex discrimination in health care in federal law. This roll back impacts LGBTQ+ people, people who have sought or may in the future seek abortions and other reproductive health services, people whose first language is not English, immigrants, people of color, and people with disabilities. If finalized, this rule would harm ALL OF US. We need to make sure this administration and the people of this country know this is unacceptable and that the Department of Health and Human Services must #PutPatientsFirst.
