Abundant Birth Project: Praxis has been in partnership with San Francisco's Expecting Justice, Abundant Birth Project (ABP). ABP is a pilot program to provide basic income to Black and Pacific Islander women during pregnancy. ABP is the first program of its kind in the country. California Ballot Proposition Guide: We released our 2020 California Ballot Proposition guide. Our guide was influenced by our partners across the state of California that build power, center community and advance equity. Learn more.

OCHIN Health Justice Communications Training: In collaboration with Berkeley Media Studies Group (BMSG), Praxis facilitated a half-day health justice communications training for OCHIN's marketing and communications team. We covered the principles of health and racial justice, and BMSG provided guidance for equitable communications framing to advance racial justice.
APHA 2020: From October 26th-October 28th, Praxis will be participating in the virtual APHA 2020 conference. We will be presenting on community power, the role of culture in community organizing, Praxis' Working Principles for Health, Justice and Racial Equity, and civic participation beyond the ballot box. We will be highlighting the work of LUPE, Chinese Progressive Association, and Nollie Jenkins Family Center in our presentations! Learn more.
Vital Village Network’s National Community Leadership Summit: On October 26th, Praxis is presenting at 2020 National Leadership Summit, hosted by Vital Village Network. This year’s event, “Our Future, Our Communities” will lift up the grassroots leaders who work daily to address racial and social inequality in our communities, brought into stark relief recently by the dual pandemics of COVID-19 and the killing of George Floyd and other Black Americans. Praxis is highlighting our Working Principles for Health, Justice and Racial Equity and community-led efforts in our network.
