We are excited to announce a new season of Praxis' podcast,In Praxis, focused on Sugar Sweetened Beverage Taxes. This season features compiled interviews from community members, public health practitioners, health department representatives and concerned parents working on issues surrounding the reduction of sugary beverages and the taxation of these products across the country. In each episode, you will hear about these advocates' phenomenal work, their perspective on the health effects of sugary consumption, and the ways policy can be used to combat this and lead to re-investment in our communities.
We are accepting applications for our Health Justice summer internships! Praxis interns are an integral part our team and will receive experience in one or more of the following areas: health justice policy, public health training, organizational capacity building, and field organizing.
We Are Home is a nationwide campaign fighting to ensure that “we the people” includes all of us. The We Are Home campaign is a multi-racial, multi-ethnic, multi-generational coalition calling on the Biden administration and Congress to take immediate action to protect millions of immigrants who call this country home and end the cruelty of our interior detention and deportation system.

Training:Project Nia & Interrupting Criminalization's #TJSkillUpeight-week de-escalation and mediation institute. The cohort will meet every Wednesday from 3:30 - 6:30 PM ET from March 3rd to April 21st. Applications are due February 5th.
Home Care Cooperatives Grant Programsupports technical assistance and training for urban home care cooperatives. Grants range from $1,000 to $5000, and applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Learn more.
Social Health Labs Community Microgrant program is awarding $1,000 to a community project each month that aims to foster friendship and connection, build community cohesion locally, and reduce social isolation and loneliness. Learn more.
The Highlander Center's We Shall Overcome Fund supports arts, culture and community activism to organize for social, economic, and political justice in the South. Grants are up to $2,000 and applications are due February 1. Learn more.
Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Equity-Focused Policy Research call for proposals to fund research that focuses on strategies and policies that enhance families’ equitable access to keyresources for supporting their children’s healthy development. Up to 20 awards ranging from $50,000 to $200,000 each will be given, and applications are due February 16. Learn more.
Native American Media Alliance's COVID-19 Relief Fund is granting $2,000 on a first-come-first-serve basis to Native American artists, writers, directors, actors, and other workers in the entertainment industry who have experienced loss of employment due to the current COVID-19 pandemic. California COVID-19 Relief Grant Program - Governor Gavin Newsom has announced a COVID-19 relief program for nonprofits in either 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(6) categories with yearly gross revenues of $2.5 million or less. SisterSong is launching a one-time RJ for Black Lives grant opportunity to make substantial investments in Black women and trans-led organizations working at the intersection of RJ and other social justice movements and facilitate collaboration among them.
CJI's FreeHer Grant Application is Now Open! The Circle for Justice Innovations is made up of innovative grantmaking circles comprised of donors, donor-activists and community organizers, most of whom are directly impacted by the injustices stemming from the criminal legal system. The FreeHer Circle Fund aims to grant at least $500,000 to grassroots organizations located nationwide. Learn more
