Since 2002, the Praxis Project has worked with basebuildng and powerbuilding groups from across the United States to transform the power, relationships, and structures that affect our lives and communities. Over the years, we have collectively dreamed of the world we want to build—one where all communities can thrive; where there is recognition of the knowledge and wisdom of Indigenous communities; and where there is an abundance of community care, love, and liberation.

This year Praxis is celebrating 20 years of building community power by splitting 100% of our one-time donations to The Praxis Project between 11/29/22 & 12/31/22 with our 2022 community power building partners. Stay tuned for details!

New Resource

Community organizers across the nation are advocating for policy, system, environment, and practice changes that address the root causes of health inequities across the social determinants of health. Every year Praxis invites our Communities of Praxis members to share some of their top organizing or advocacy campaigns in their own communities through our annual survey. Community organizers are advancing strengths-based solutions that do not just address the social determinants of health, but the underlying systems that impact communities’ abilities to thrive. We believe we can look to local communities for local solutions to advance health, equity, and racial justice.
