Centering Community Power for Health and Racial Equity
3/31/2020: Uplifting Solidarity Not Charity in the Midst of the Coronavirus Pandemic
THE PRAXIS PROJECT ANNOUNCEMENTS
Our Working Principles for Health Justice & Racial Equity
In case you missed it: Last week we connected with health justice advocates across the country to share with them our Working Principles for Health Justice & Racial Equity. We cannot afford another pandemic, natural or state-enabled disaster to unveil how our systems don't protect Black & brown communities. Our Principles serve as a guiding assessment of our health equity work's commitment to health justice & racial equity.
Call your representative to demand to clemency now and protect those most at risk from the Coronavirus.
In the midst of this Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic many people in our communities do not have the privilege to safely physically isolate, including those who are incarcerated, in detention, and the houseless.
{{ FirstName | default: 'Friend' }}, as the Western Regional Advocacy Project noted, CDC guidelines are meaningless when we fail to consider the poorest among us.
When you contact your representative also take a minute to make some critical demands for the health and safety of our houseless communities, including a moratorium on all homeless encampments sweeps.
